Of course the most famous geniuses of theoretical physics in the twentieth century were Niels Bohr, Albert Einstein and P.A.M. Dirac. They went far beyond conceiving models or explaining some experimental facts...Dirac succeeded in unifying relativity theory with quantum mechanics.
